Transferring OneDrive with Data Migration
Coming from Microsoft OneDrive? With Data Migration you transfer your files to your WebOké Nextcloud, as well as your contacts and calendars from your Microsoft account.
How to transfer OneDrive
- Log in to your WebOké Nextcloud, click your profile photo in the top right and choose Settings.
- Click Data Migration on the left.
- Under Microsoft OneDrive integration, click Connect to OneDrive (1).
- A Microsoft window opens. If you're already logged in to Microsoft, the connection is made straight away. Otherwise, log in in that window and give your consent.
- Back in Nextcloud, you'll see which OneDrive account you're connected to, and what you can import: your files, your contacts and your calendars.
- Under Importdirectory, choose the folder where your OneDrive files will go. Use the pencil icon to choose a different or new folder.
- Start importing your files. If you also want to transfer your contacts and calendars, start those imports too; for calendars, the button is called Import calendar.
Just like with Dropbox, Data Migration brings across all your files. If there's anything you don't want to keep, it's best to delete it in OneDrive first. The import keeps running in the background; you can close the window. It takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
